Dear Women, we love and appreciate you💓

Have you ever heard of the phrase ''Arts and crafts week at Panty Camp''?

This phrase means that a girl is currently going through a process called menstruation.

New word for this week:

Menstruation (n.):
The process in a woman of discharging(through the vagina) blood and other materials from the lining of the uterus at about one monthly interval from puberty until menopause(ceasing of regular menstrual cycles), except during pregnancy. This process lasts for about 3-7 days.(www.medicinenet.com)

You can get your periods between the ages of 8 until 15.

Story time!
I remember the day before I got my period, I was doing a school project and all of a sudden, your girl had such a massive headache, I've experienced a number of headaches in my life, but nothing will beat that headache. It felt as though there were thousands of people who were banging my head all at once! I remember crying my eyes out. The following day, the school was headed on an excursion to a science exhibition. When I woke up that morning, I was using the toilet, and when I looked down, all I saw was 'red water'. At first I thought it was caused due to the fact that I had eaten beetroot the night before(I was told that when you eat beetroot, your pee is expected to be red), haha I played myself. Of course the first thing I did was call my mom and she told me was 'that nope this sure wasn't the beetroot', I went through the most on that day. At first I was not used to these emotional and physical changes that were occurring in my body, but as time goes by you get used to it.

What are the signs that my body is going to the "Art and Crafts week at Panty Camp"?

1. Headache.

2. Acne.

3. Bloating.

4. Pains the the low abdomen.

5. Tiredness.

6. Mood changes.

7. Food cravings.

8. Tender breasts.

We all have those days where we do not feel like being around people, you experience a number of emotions all at once. We call this PMS'ing.

Premenstrual Syndrome (n.):
When a girl has mood and body changes before or during her period. It's usually at its best during the 4 days before a period. It usually goes away 2 to 3 days after the period begins.

What can we do to relieve PMS?

* Buy pain-killers(I highly recommend the Nurofen tablets for Period Pains)

*Do aerobic exercises(walking,running,swimming etc...)

*Get a good night's sleep

What causes your period to come late?

*Stress
*Low body weight
*Obesity

How to control your flow in bed:

1. Place a towel on the bed.

2. Remember to change your pad after 8 hours!(if it is not a heavy flow)

How to clean the stains after a leak:

Soak the blanket/sheet in cold water ( hot water will make it 10 times worse).

Use Sunlight bar soap to clean it(trust me it works wonders)
